In this video I’m sharing what helped me FINALLY turn a corner after 3–4 weeks of crazy binge eating. I did this as a YouTube Live because I know how disheartening it feels when you’re trying every day to “be bright” (or get back to whatever plan you’re doing) and you just can’t get a hold of it. I woke up today and I knew: this is going to be my bright day—and I wanted to share the exact resources that helped me get here. I walk through four books that have been huge for me: “Rescued from Food Addiction” (a Christian devotional that really hit me with the idea of surrender), “Rezoom” (identity is built through your actions—act like a Bright Line Eater and your brain starts to accept it), “Brain Over Binge Recovery Guide” (my #1 recommendation if you only choose one), and “Food for the Soul” (daily meditations that help me stay grateful and abstinent). I also talk about blood sugar being out of whack after a binge—those ravenous, false hunger feelings—and why eating enough (and even adding a 4th meal/snack like Dr. Joy teaches in the Bright Line Eating membership call) can be a game-changer for binge eating recovery.
