In this video I’m sharing what it actually took for me to get Bright again after weeks of binge eating. The biggest thing I needed wasn’t a new hack—it was space. In the Bright Line Eating community they call it “bunny slippers,” and for me that means bandwidth, mental capacity, and freedom in my calendar so I can focus on executing the plan. If you’re brand new to Bright Line Eating, it can take even more willpower and time because you’re building brand-new habits. I’m on day four of being Bright again, and I was able to do it because I looked ahead and realized I didn’t have a major work project, trips, or travel coming up—and my husband was going to be home for a few days in a row, which helps a lot with childcare. I’m a mom to a four-year-old, my husband is a flight attendant (so he’s gone half the week), I work a hardcore corporate job, and I also run my blog and YouTube channel—so staying Bright can be challenging with my lifestyle. I also talk about my “Version 2” approach and why I strongly encourage adding more protein, especially if you struggle with binge eating and you’re under 65 or active. My takeaway: choose a season where you actually have capacity, because getting Bright is an effort until it becomes familiar again.
