I start with what I can only describe as my Fredrik Backman shrine (A Man Called Ove, Beartown, and My Friends), because he’s my favorite author and I genuinely like to pace myself with his work to savor it. From there, I hit a mix of fantasy worlds I’m fully invested in (hello Empyrean and ACOTAR), immersive historical fiction that makes you feel like you’re there (Kristin Hannah is so good at that), and the books that completely wrecked me—in the best way. I also share my “six-star reads” like The Favorites (I avoided responsibilities for that one) and Project Hail Mary (the kind of sci-fi that makes you go, how is this even possible?).
