The Favorites was a literal six-star read for me, and I’m not being dramatic when I say I avoided responsibilities to finish it. It follows ice skaters from teens to Olympic-level pressure, with a documentary-style format that makes it feel so real and so messy. Everyone is morally gray and I was hooked the entire time.
