Pumpkin Spice – A warm, comforting read (cozy mystery, romance, or comfort re-read). 2. Crisp Air – A book with a setting that makes you feel the chill (forest, mountain, or gothic vibes). 3. Falling Leaves – A book with orange, red, or brown on the cover. 4. Harvest Time – A book you’ve been ā€œsaving upā€ all year to read. 5. About This Video

In this video, I’m officially picking my October TBR, and I wanted it to feel like peak fall. I’ve been working through my physical TBR one book at a time (because honestly that’s the only way to do it), and I keep a ā€œpriority TBRā€ on my cart so I can mood read or pull from it for monthly stacks. The last few months I was blindly choosing with a random number generator, but for October I wanted all the cozy autumn vibes—so I used a fall prompt challenge (yes, I literally asked ChatGPT for fall themed prompts and it gave me the cutest idea). I build my ā€œautumn stackā€ with six prompts: Pumpkin Spice, Crisp Air, Falling Leaves, Harvest Time, Spooky Shadows, and Sweater Weather. For cozy and sweet, I picked A Novel Love Story by Ashley Poston. For gothic chills, I went with Bury Our Bones in the Midnight Soil by V. E. Schwab (vampires, female rage, sapphic—say less). I grabbed People Watching by Hannah Bonam-Young for the fall-colored cover, Divine Rivals by Rebecca Ross as my ā€œsaved all yearā€ read, Pretty Girls by Karin Slaughter for something haunting, and then I committed to the chunkiest book I own—Alchemized by SenLinYu—because it’s over 1,000 pages and I’m buddy reading it with my cousin. It’s a lot of pages, a little heavy, and I’m so excited to see what I actually get through.
