About This Video

In this video I’m blindly picking my September TBR, and honestly… this is the best monthly lineup I’ve ever had. I’ve been really focused on working through my physical TBR (like, actually disciplined for once), so I pulled everything I want to read sooner onto my priority TBR cart. Then I jumbled the books up, put them back with my eyes closed, and used a random number generator to do the picking for me—because it turns it into a little game and I don’t overthink it. September for me is that ā€œtransitioning into fall, but not quite fallā€ reading mood. I still wanted a few summery, bingeable reads, but also some cozier, more neutral picks because Connecticut is already giving sweater weather. I ended up choosing six books: I Who Have Never Known Men, Anxious People, Magnolia Parks, Same Time Next Summer, This Could Be Us, and Sandwich. It’s such a good mix of short-but-heavy, feel-everything lit, messy drama, and easy romance. I also talk about how challenging myself (and sharing it here for accountability) has boosted my reading so much, and I’m even using ARCs as a little ā€œrewardā€ if I get through my physical TBR picks first.
