About This Video

In this video I’m finally checking back in after a couple months away, and I’m sharing the real reason I pressed pause on YouTube—and how I’m down almost 20 pounds (okay, 19.5, but we’re rounding because it sounds so much better). I made my channel private for a little while because I needed a mental break, and I also started a new high-stress, high-stakes job that demanded basically all of my energy. I couldn’t keep up with the pressure of posting every Saturday at 12 p.m., so I chose peace and focused on my real life. As far as the weight loss, I explain the two biggest pieces: my food changes and a tool I used for binge eating. I’ve been eating vegan as an experiment after reading The Starch Solution and getting inspired by PlantifulKiki—her story really resonated with me. I’m not “perfect” about it (I’m vegan 90–99% of the time), but my energy went up and I felt happier. I also started semaglutide on a very low dose because binge eating disorder is something I actively battle, and for me it helped take the edge off the urges. Exercise hasn’t been consistent because of work, but I’m getting back into movement with a little mini stepper at home when I can.
