Every January we hear “new year, new me,” and honestly… I think that mindset is holding a lot of people back. In this video I share why rebranding your entire life every time January hits doesn’t create real growth. As a Christian gym girly, New Year’s isn’t about becoming someone completely brand new—because in Christ, we’re already made new. The goal is refinement: getting more intentional with the habits, routines, and relationships that shape who you become (and for me, that’s becoming more like Jesus). I walk you through setting SMART goals (specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, time-bound) and organizing them into four core categories: faith, health & fitness, career/purpose, and relationships (plus a bonus “miscellaneous” category). I also share my own goals—like reading through the New Testament, improving my sleep consistency (because yes, sleep schedule consistency matters), and working toward a 100kg deadlift using progressive overload. But the biggest takeaway is this: goals don’t change you—systems do. I talk about habit stacking (pairing a habit you already do with one you want to build) and my five highest-impact daily habits: prayer as an ongoing conversation, consistent Bible reading, daily movement, a consistent sleep schedule, and the 80/20 nutrition rule. This is your reminder that growth is revealed in your default moments—so let’s get intentional and build habits that actually last.
