I’m doing things a little differently this time because I’ll be posting my “favorites of 2025” on the last Sunday of December, so I wanted to get these two months of loves up a bit earlier. About half of what I’m sharing was sent to me in PR (and you know I only include it if I truly fell in love), and the other half I picked up during the Black Friday sales. I start with body care: Oak Essentials Awaken Body Wash is one of those “extra luxurious” shower products—lavender and cedarwood, but with this unexpected creaminess, plus a soft, silky lather (my only gripe is the pump). For dry, cranky skin on the body, I’ve been reaching for Prequel Barrier Therapy Cream—colloidal oatmeal, ceramides, and a thicker-but-still-fast-absorbing texture (I keep it off my face because silicones can trigger milia for me). For face skincare, Eadem’s Mami Wata mist has a super fine spray and barrier-supporting ingredients like ectoine, panthenol, and polyglutamic acid, and their Cloud Cushion moisturizer totally lived up to my high expectations with peptides, ceramides, snow mushroom, and a silky, whipped feel. Then I move into easy, flattering makeup for mature skin: Westman Atelier’s Lit Up Stick in Petal is my foolproof “wake up my face” glow, and the Lip Suede in Petal is one of the rare mattes I actually enjoy wearing. I also share the Summer Fridays Dream Lip Oils (a great, more accessible alternative to Victoria Beckham glosses), my favorite eye picks from Make Beauty and Merit (Sartorial is the standout), and the cheek products I keep reaching for—especially Waxwing from the HLP x Salt New York collab, plus Ilia Soft Focus blushes applied with my beloved Rare Beauty blush brush.
