In this January & February favorites video, I’m sharing the skincare, body care, and easy everyday makeup I’ve genuinely been reaching for—especially with mature skin (and menopause season) in mind. I start with a little body care moment because I rediscovered how much I love the Fresh bar soaps. They’re beautifully wrapped, super dense and creamy, and they foam up so nicely. The scents are gorgeous—Verbena is in my shower right now, and the Freesia bar made my whole bathroom smell amazing just sitting on the counter. For skincare, I keep it focused on a few standouts I’ve been using consistently. The Outset Total Clarity Dark Spot Serum has been a great “vitamin C alternative” option—brightening and glowy without actual vitamin C, which can be a big deal if you’re sensitive. And the Prequel Half & Half essence has been such a comforting, barrier-supporting step for dry, menopausal skin—ceramides, peptides, amino acids… it’s that lightweight liquid moisture I can layer under a real moisturizer. I also had to gush about Live Botanical’s Rose & Tulsi Radiance Elixir mist—nourishing, hydrating, and so beautifully made. Then I move into the makeup I’ve been loving: Merit’s Bronze Balm in Sane (better than Clay for my light-medium olive tone), Ilia’s Soft Focus Blush in Glimpse for that dusty mauve blur, Victoria Beckham Kajal in Smoky Quartz for an awake-but-not-overdone eye, and my current go-to lip combo—Merit Lip Blush in Archival topped with Lip Slick in Twin Set.
