In this video I’m doing a cream roundup of 10 moisturizers in my collection, starting with day creams and ending with night creams. Some of these are long-time staples you’ve heard me talk about before (because I genuinely reach for them all the time), and a couple are brand new to me that I saved for the very end. Throughout the roundup I’m focusing on what actually matters for mature skin—hydration, barrier support, and that comfortable emollience I personally love (I’m not into moisturizers that dry down matte and leave my skin feeling tight). For daytime, I talk through textures that “straddle the line” between lotion and cream—lightweight, quick-absorbing, but still nourishing—plus what works best under makeup. I also share which formulas are especially helpful for menopausal and post-menopausal skin, like products with ceramides, glycerin, sodium PCA, and urea for barrier and dehydration support. For nighttime, I get into richer options, including my hands-down favorite night cream that consistently makes my skin look nourished and healthy by morning. I also cover glowier, dewier finishes (great at night, not always my preference for daytime), fragrance-free options for sensitive skin, and one beautiful cream that I love texturally—but the strong rose/geranium scent is a dealbreaker for me at bedtime.
