In this video, I’m sharing my complete PM skincare routine for menopause and post-menopause—because when estrogen drops, our skin can really start to show it. Hydration gets harder to hold onto, the barrier can feel more fragile, collagen and elastin production slow down, and you may notice more dryness, sensitivity, fine lines, and even some breakouts. So my nightly focus is simple: replenish hydration, stimulate collagen, protect and restore the barrier, and treat blemishes when they pop up. I start with gentle cleansing (usually an oil cleanser, and occasionally a cream-to-foam if I’m feeling grimy or wore tinted SPF). Then I go in with an essence for that deep, replenishing hydration I crave at night—my favorite being Mara Pearl Peptide Essence, with pearl powder, beta glucan, and marine collagen peptides for hydration, luminosity, and barrier support. For collagen support, I rely on retinoids (start low and go slow), and I also rotate in lactic acid for gentle exfoliation plus added hydration and ceramide support. If I get a blemish, I spot-treat with azelaic acid. Finally, I seal it all in with a ceramide-rich night cream—because barrier repair is non-negotiable in this season of skin.
