The weather is warming up and baby, so are these new releases—so in this video I’m running through what’s new in hair care (and a little body care), what I’ve been eyeing, and what I’m not buying right now. I start with amika because they dropped a whole “Shower Thoughts” body line (body wash, body oil, body butter) and while the packaging and marketing are cute, I’m honestly not in the market for new body care. I mostly just want to get my nose on it and see what the fragrance is giving before I commit. On the hair side, I talk about amika’s dry mask (I’ve tried it and I have thoughts), Olaplex 3 Plus and why I like that it’s now meant for wet hair in the shower, and why you absolutely do not need bond builders every wash day—especially if your hair isn’t damaged. I also share breaking news on TGIN’s upcoming scalp care line (pre-wash oil, scalp scrub, clarifying shampoo), get into Pattern’s Indigo Rain scent drop (I want new products, not just new scents—but the wash and go combo is still that girl), and chat through launches from Fenty, Dyson, RevAir, Camille Rose, SheaMoisture, and Shark. Overall: I love seeing innovation—especially from Black-owned brands—but I’m still picky about what actually earns a spot in my routine.
