Ignore my hair in this one (it was for Friday’s video) because today is all about getting cozy and transforming my nails for Halloween with TEMU press-ons. I started wearing press-on nails around May because my natural nails were getting long… but then one or two would break and it was SO frustrating waiting for them to grow out again. In this video I take off a set I’d worn for two weeks, clean up any leftover glue, tidy my cuticles, and trim/shape my natural nails so the press-ons sit properly. The biggest takeaway is my prep routine for making press-ons last 2 weeks or more without wrecking your nails. I file off old sticky patches/glue, wipe everything down with rubbing alcohol (it really helps with sticking), then I use sticky bases and blast them with a hair dryer on low for about 30 seconds to make them extra tacky. After that I add a little glue on top and press the nail on. These Halloween nails were super cute, but I did get a weird shape in a few of them (disappointing), so I’m only wearing them for Halloween week—and I’ll keep nail glue with me just in case one pops off.
