I ended up spending around $40 and testing the whole routine on camera, even though I honestly wouldn’t have picked most of these products for myself. The wash day started strong: the Garnier Aloe Hydra Bomb shampoo surprised me (thick, jelly-like, foamed a lot), but my hair felt clean without that “too conditioned” feeling. I skipped the OGX conditioner by accident, used the Garnier Banana Hair Food for slip (detangling was chef’s kiss), then tried the SheaMoisture Jamaican Black Castor Oil leave-in (super thick, but my hair felt insanely soft). Styling with the Cantu Define & Shine Custard gave me way more cast and shrinkage than I expected, and the argan oil made scrunching out the cast easy and left everything shiny.
