This video is basically me finally tackling my desk area because it was an actual mess and I’ve been feeling like I never have enough time to get everything done. I had a bank holiday long weekend (it’s only one extra day but it genuinely makes the world of difference), so I decided this was the perfect moment to do a cozy desk makeover and try to get that aesthetic TikTok desk vibe—without spending loads. I show you the “before” which includes papers everywhere, cables, boxes, and yes… my nail sh*t piled up too. My plan was simple: declutter, put up my cute curtains first (because I literally had cardboard in the window to stop the sun blinding me), then tidy properly and start decorating. I also picked up a little shelf that sits on the desk/behind the monitor to help with organization, and I ordered a bunch of cute budget decor from Temu to make my side feel way more put-together. I’m not painting the lilac walls anytime soon because it’s such a hassle, so my approach is to decorate so much that you barely notice them. The end result turned out way better than I thought, and it feels so much more cozy and productive.
