In this video I put a “little tuner vs big tuner” head-to-head: a budget Aroma clip-on tuner (the AT-105) against a strobe tuner, because I’ve always wondered how accurate these cheap clip-ons really are. First step was easy—grab a guitar that’s out of tune. Then I unboxed the Aroma, checked the modes, and kept it simple: 440Hz in chromatic mode. What immediately caught my attention was the rechargeable battery and USB-C charging. Normally I avoid clip-on tuners because I don’t feel like swapping tiny CR watch batteries, so having a built-in rechargeable battery actually changes things for me. The screen is bright, it came charged, and setup was basically instant. For the real test, I tuned down to Eb (D#) and watched how the Aroma tracked compared to the strobe. I don’t have a high E string on this guitar, so I stopped there—but accuracy-wise, it genuinely seemed to keep up with the strobe tuner. For a small, inexpensive clip-on, that’s pretty impressive. Shout out to the little Aroma tuner for holding its own.
