About This Video

In this video I’m checking out the Donner Double Swords Dimension Weaver, which is a three-in-one pedal that packs chorus, delay, and reverb into one enclosure. The big deal here is that each effect has its own on/off footswitch and its own controls, so you can run them independently or stack them together. On the back it’s simple: one 1/4" input, one 1/4" output, and a single 9V power input—so it’s a super clean setup for a pedalboard. Tone-wise, I’m using a Fender-ish clean sound with the neck pickup and some single-coil action, and I go effect-by-effect with quick demos. The chorus surprised me—usually I don’t like chorus that much, but this one sounds awesome when you keep it subtle. The delay has a ton of flexibility, from slapback all the way to longer repeats, and when you start pushing the knobs you can get that analog-style warble that’s not super practical, but it’s a whole lot of fun. The reverb can get big “praise and worship” type sounds, but I think it shines best sitting in the background and adding space instead of becoming the entire tone.
