In this video I review the Moondrop Edge, a $90 Bluetooth over-ear headphone with ANC and transparency mode that’s clearly aiming for the under-$100 “daily driver” crowd. I go over the build (plastic cups/headband with aluminum arms), folding/flat rotation for storage, and comfort notes like the limited vertical swivel and light clamp, which can lead to seal gaps depending on your head shape (or glasses). The pads are soft and thick, but they feel like thin faux leather that might wear over time, and while they’re removable, they use a non-universal bracket system so replacement options are still a question mark. Sound-wise, I focus on the Moondrop Link 2 app presets: there are five, but honestly three of them (country/old studio/violin) just make things worse, so I’d ignore those. The two usable options are Normal and Extra Bass, and the overall tuning is nicely “nothing offensive,” which is exactly what I want for everyday Bluetooth use. The Edge also does upper mids/treble surprisingly well for the price—no nasty peaks. One big tip: ANC drops bass and lower mids, so if you use ANC, I recommend Extra Bass to keep it from sounding thin. Overall, for under $100, this is one of my top picks for casual daily use.
