It’s been a while since I reviewed a bag, but in this video I take a quick look at the Stubble 30L Hybrid Backpack — a premium, fully expanded clamshell bag that’s clearly trying to be your everyday carry, gym bag, and travel carry-on all in one. It’s £175, so as I walk through the features, you can decide for yourself if that price makes sense. I cover the core specs (around 50cm tall, 32cm wide, about 22cm deep when fully open), the 30L capacity, and the weight (roughly 1.5kg before you even add your gear). I go through the carry comfort too: sternum strap, loads of padding, mesh/airflow on the back panel and straps, plus a luggage pass-through for airport days. Storage-wise, you’ve got an external top pocket, a side bottle/umbrella holder, internal mesh pockets, and compression straps with a G-hook to keep things secure. The laptop/tablet section is properly padded with a nice suspended base — my 13-inch iPad fits easily, and they claim it’ll take up to a 16-inch laptop. My main gripe is it’s missing that secure, hidden passport pocket against your back that a lot of travel bags include. That said, it feels great on, it’s genuinely spacious, and Stubble say the zips, seams, and materials are waterproof — so your valuables should stay safe and dry.
