About This Video

Hey friends—Mark from The Spark here. In this video I share five more Kindle features that aren’t exactly “secret”, but they’re the kind of quiet little settings that can genuinely improve your day-to-day reading once you know they exist. I kick off with double‑tap page turn on newer Kindles, which lets you advance the page by gently double tapping the back of the device. It’s brilliant for one‑handed reading, and (speaking from experience) it’s a lifesaver if you read in a hot bath where steam or water smears can make the touchscreen a bit of a pain. I also show how to temporarily disable the touchscreen while you’re in a book, so you stop accidentally flipping pages when you adjust your grip in bed. Then I get into Send to Kindle—because a Kindle isn’t just for Amazon purchases. You can send articles, PDFs, and documents (via app/extension or email), convert them, and then read them like a normal Kindle book with font changes, highlights, and notes. Finally, I cover font boldness (a small slider that makes a big comfort difference) and the reading progress indicator at the bottom left—tap it to cycle page number, time left in chapter, and time left in book. Practical stuff, but honestly, it adds up.
