A different kind of video this one. This is a proper long, sit-down recap of everything I posted in 2025 on The Spark, so I’ve created chapters for your viewing convenience. I go video-by-video, chatting through what I reviewed, what I still use, what surprised me, what underperformed (and why). There’s a bit of behind-the-scenes honesty in here, including views, audience fit, and the kind of content I think I need to lean into in 2026. Worth repeating: this one’s long, and it’s intentionally long. No fast cuts, no rushing. Jump in if you’re in the mood for a full debrief. ——— 📩 Subscribe to my regular(ish) newsletter - https://markdkelly.substack.com ➡️ Buy me a virtual coffee - https://www.buymeacoffee.com/markdkelly75 I've collated a massive list of all my favourite things on my website 👉🏻 https://www.markkelly.me/affiliate-links Come follow me here: ✖️https://x.com/markdkelly75 🧵 https://www.threads.net/@markdkelly75 📷 https://www.instagram.com/markdkelly75 Disclaimer: Some of the product links in this description are affiliate links. Occasionally, products featured in my videos are sent to me for review. If that’s the case, I’ll always make it clear. I don’t accept payment in exchange for positive coverage, and all opinions are entirely my own. I test everything and give my honest take—whether it’s brilliant, baffling, or somewhere in between. This channel is about cutting through the noise and helping you figure out what’s actually worth your money. About This Video

In this video I did something a bit different: a proper long, sit-down recap of everything I posted in 2025 on The Spark. I go video-by-video and tell you what I reviewed, what I still actually use, what surprised me, and what underperformed (and usually why). I also share the honest behind-the-scenes bits—views, like ratios, audience fit, and how YouTube tends to reward “how-to” answers way more than random gadget reviews. A few patterns were crystal clear. Kindle Scribe and Kindle how-to videos absolutely carried the year (book cover lock screen, annotating, notebooks, templates/PDFs), and they keep getting picked up again months later. On the other hand, iPhone cases, wallets, and the more “side quest” accessories usually didn’t land with my core audience—though I still use some of them (like Pitaka cases and a few charging bits). I also talk about the Boox Note Air 4C replacement experience, why I still default to the Kindle Scribe for notes, my addiction to power banks, and what I think I need to lean into in 2026: more reader-focused E Ink content (not just note-takers), plus continuing experiments like the Weekly Sparks news format.
