About This Video

In this video, I’m walking you through what’s in my hospital bag as a second-time mom at 37 weeks pregnant with baby girl. The biggest thing I’m doing differently this time is packing way more minimally—because when I delivered Luca, my hospital provided so much for both me and baby that I barely touched what I packed. My number one tip is to call your hospital and ask what they provide, so you’re not hauling in a whole suitcase of duplicates you won’t use. I’m also sharing two checklists (a minimal one and a more extensive one) so you can choose what fits your hospital and your comfort level. I show you how I’m organizing everything in one carry-on for all three of us, starting with the front pocket essentials like paperwork, insurance cards, and pens. Then I get into my “game changer” items—like a big water bottle that keeps water cold, a 10-foot charger, and simple toiletries (chapstick is non-negotiable). I also share what I’m bringing for postpartum comfort (like a lightweight robe in black and high-waisted postpartum underwear), plus the baby items I’m actually excited about, including a sunshine announcement set and a very classic Puerto Rican going-home outfit that means a lot to our family.
