About This Video

Good morning, friends. In this video I’m taking the very first baby step toward a big 2025 goal: trying to read through my physical TBR (we’re talking 130+ books) which also means I need to buy less. I love my Kindle, I love Libby, I love the library—so I’m not pretending I’ll only read what I own—but I really want my physical shelves to stop feeling like a never-ending “someday” pile. First, I completely reset my cozy TBR cart (because it had turned into a full-on children’s catch-all clutter situation). I pull a stack of books I genuinely want to get to soon—very winter mood reading: cozy picks, fantasy, a little romance, a few thrillers to break things up, plus a memoir and a classic so I feel a little more well-rounded. Then I rapid-fire what’s going on the cart, from Ashley Poston and Emily Henry to Kristen Hannah and RF Kuang. After the cart is set, I refresh my prompt jar with new prompts to keep my reading spicy and fun over the next few months. And the best part? Moving my current TBR picks onto the cart frees up shelf space so I can bring my favorite, most-loved books out of their “sad corner” and actually display them in my living space.
