About This Video

In this video (day two of my Back to Homeschool Week), I’m sharing the preschool homeschool essentials I actually reach for, plus the resources that saved me a ton of time and money while I’m prepping for our year. I’m still new to the homeschool world, so this is very much the “what’s working for me so far” list—both the physical things I bought and the little systems that make preschool at home feel doable. I walk through my must-haves like a basic, affordable printer, a Scotch laminator (because laminating makes everything more durable AND dry-erase), and a corner rounder—because laminated corners are no joke and I’ve literally stabbed myself. I also show budget-friendly alternatives like dry erase sleeves, plus the little things that make DIY activities less annoying, like fine-tip dry erase markers and self-adhesive Velcro dots to keep pieces from sliding everywhere. Then I share why I’m keeping multiple journals this year (nature journal, my homeschool observation journal, a commonplace journal, and Luca’s narration journal) because the keepsakes and the progress tracking are priceless. For resources, I’m talking Pinterest, Etsy, Teachers Pay Teachers, and my favorite money-saver: buying curriculum books through Goodwill Books and ThriftBooks instead of Amazon. And yes—your most underrated essential is a library card, because read-alouds, creativity, language development, and even museum passes can all start there.
