In this birth vlog, I’m taking you with me through the day I was induced and delivered my baby girl—start to finish. I walk in for my 8am induction, get settled in the room, and honestly everything felt like it was moving really fast. I share what the early setup looked like (IV, monitors, waiting on the plan), and I also give a tip I didn’t know until it happened to me: if you have an induction scheduled, call before you even get ready to make sure there’s actually a room available. Once they checked me, I was already 2cm and about 50% effaced, so we skipped the cervical-softening step. They broke my water and started Pitocin, and I talk about that weird-but-cool feeling of being way more aware of her body and kicks after my water was broken. A few hours in, I got my epidural and tried to rest while I progressed (slowly at first). Then things picked up—once I hit 5cm, I went from 5 to 10 really fast, and my daughter was born at 4:46pm. After delivery, I share a little postpartum moment in the room—feeding, soaking it all in, and that first diaper change. I truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience, and I’m so grateful I get to have these memories to look back on and share with other mommas.
