In this video, I’m walking you through ALL of the preschool curriculum I used and genuinely loved for pre-k 3 and pre-k 4—plus the extra resources that made our days feel rich without being rigid. I’m a mom with zero teaching background, and I started preschool with my son right when I had a newborn, so having open-and-go options and simple guidance was a lifesaver. Also: preschool is preschool for a reason. You don’t have to buy a bunch of stuff—so much can be taught through play, real life, and reading aloud. I share what we used in order, starting with Gentle + Classical Preschool (Charlotte Mason/classical-inspired). I’ll tell you what I actually used consistently (like the letter of the week, memory cards for manners/hygiene, nursery rhymes, math, art study, and more) and what I skipped (music, motor skills, some extras). Then I break down our second year with The Good and the Beautiful Preschool—why I liked having everything in one bundle, how we paced it (half lessons at first, then flying through), and what parts my kids loved most (especially the folder games). I also share a few add-ons that helped as my son started showing interest in reading and habits: Teach Your Child to Read in 100 Easy Lessons, Laying Down the Rails, and some thrifted “learning rabbit holes” like National Geographic kids books and an encyclopedia.
