About This Video

What’s up guys—this is Part 2 of my 2020-2023 Toyota Highlander LED DRL fog light bezel install, and this one is all about the wiring. In Part 1 we physically installed the CarTrimHome bezels and got the bumper work done. Now I’m showing you exactly how I routed everything so it’s secure, protected, and doesn’t look like a bird’s nest when you pop the hood. I walk you step-by-step through running the harness across the front, zip tying it to the bash bar and factory looms, and hiding the control box behind the air diversion panel (I used 3M double-sided tape so it’s not bouncing around). Then I show how I wired the yellow leads into the factory turn signal wiring so the DRLs stay a clean white while driving, but switch to sequential turn signals when you signal or hit the hazards. For power, I tap into the side marker/marker light circuit so the DRLs are on when the car is on, and I show you the exact wire colors and plug orientation I used. I also show my preferred “OEM+” method: cutting, stripping, soldering, and sealing with heat shrink so it’s clean and weather-safe. Quick reminder—disconnect your battery ground before doing any electrical work, and don’t forget that longer screw for the bottom of the bezel from Part 1.
