About This Video

In this video I’m adding a new detailing product to the garage and doing a real side-by-side test: the Fantasti Clean drying towel vs my old, well-known Chemical Guys waffle weave towel that I’ve used for years on the Corvette C7, the Highlander, and pretty much everything I wash. I unbox the Fantasti Clean towel, lay it out on the hood to compare sizing, and talk about the feel right away—this one has some weight to it, it’s soft, and it has that “wicking” feel that should pull water up instead of just pushing it around. Then I do a true test on the Highlander hood and fender (no funny business): same water, same swipe, same process. It was cold out (around 44 degrees), and the Fantasti Clean towel still pulled dang near 90% of the water off in one pass, while the Chemical Guys waffle towel left visible wet spots and bigger drips that would take two or three more passes. My biggest takeaway is softness matters—waffle towels can feel rough, and I’ve always wondered if that texture is contributing to light scratches. For me, Fantasti Clean won this battle for sure.
