About This Video

What’s up guys — in this one I’m not out in the garage, because the Samsung top-load washer in the house was driving us insane. It would run down to like 15 minutes left, then go off balance, start shaking like crazy, and hit us with that “beeps of death” every five freaking minutes. Instead of wasting money on a repairman, I show you the simple DIY fix that solved it for me: replacing the suspension rods. I walk you through the tools you need (painters tape, a Phillips screwdriver, and pliers/vice grips), how to safely prep the washer (unplug it and turn the water off), and how to pull the top so you can access the suspension in each corner. I also show you where the hidden screws are (under the rubber grommets up front and on the back panel), how I keep the glass lid taped shut, and why staying organized matters because the screws are different sizes. From there it’s just swapping rods one-by-one: unhook the top, drop it out of the bottom channel, slide the new one in, and pull it up to click it back in. I also lube the new rods with the right stuff (not random garage grease), then button everything back up, reconnect the wires, and test it with towels — the exact load that used to trigger the problem. Mine spun smooth and finished the cycle, so if your Samsung washer is stopping mid-cycle or banging around, this is absolutely worth trying first.
