In this video I review the brand new ddHiFi CZ180 and CZ300 portable HiFi storage cases, and I explain why I ended up needing something like this in the first place. At some point I got overwhelmed with IEMs, cables, DACs, amps, and accessories, and I tried pretty much everything: plastic cases, original IEM pouches, HDD cases, IKEA organizers, watch boxes, even toolbox organizers with soft fabric mods. Most of it worked “okay”, but it was never practical or aesthetically pleasing—until these ddHiFi cases. I tested both cases for about a month: I used the CZ180 as my travel kit and the CZ300 to store my IEM stuff in my studio. The CZ180 is compact (200×120×60 mm) with mesh pockets, extra pockets in the divider, a suede-lined main compartment, and adjustable dividers for flexible layouts. The CZ300 is the bigger, heavier (800 g) “portable studio” option with waterproof treated cotton exterior, a YKK double zipper, a carry handle, large mesh pockets, and a main compartment with foam-filled grooves plus dividers that let you partition up to 10 zones. My takeaway is simple: both are excellent value, built with audiophiles in mind, and genuinely solve the real-world problem of transporting and organizing portable audio gear. If you need small and portable, go CZ180. If you want maximum capacity and protection, CZ300 is an amazing value for the money and nothing at this price point comes close.
