This video is all about pushing the Insta360 X4 in the most fun (and slightly terrifying) way possible: mounting it to my brand new car while the paint is still fresh and seeing what 8K 360 footage can really do. Yeah, 8K sounds like overkill—especially on a phone—but on a 360 camera it’s a huge deal because it gives you way more flexibility when you’re reframing in post. One minute you’re looking at the road, the next you’re swinging around the car for that GTA-style perspective, and the quality actually holds up. I walk through the settings and the workflow I use inside Insta360 Studio—stuff like Motion ND to add natural-looking motion blur, plus a bit of focal blur on the edges when I want a more stylized frame and stronger emphasis in the center. I also shoot in the flat profile to retain detail, then finish it with a grade (I used my Vintage Look 2 LUT Pack here). We also test frame rates—8K up to 30fps, 5.7K up to 60fps, and 4K up to 100fps—plus FlowState stabilization, which makes high-speed footage look like it was shot on a gimbal. And yes, the invisible selfie stick still blows my mind every time.
