It feels good to be back. In this video I talk about my health and a bit of my journey with POTS. Thanks for watching.
About This Video
In this video I do something I basically never do on this channel: I go completely unscripted and unfiltered. I’m unboxing some gear I was sent (not sponsored, not paid—I actually reached out to the company), but the real point is catching you up on where I’ve been and why I kind of fell off the map. Over the last year, the wheels sort of came off health-wise, and I wanted to talk about it honestly instead of pretending everything was normal.
Back in February I started getting heart palpitations and a bunch of weird symptoms—flashes in my vision, pounding in my neck, and an irregular-feeling heartbeat. I went to the hospital, got checked out, and my heart was normal, but I did have a lot of PVCs (premature ventricular contractions). The reason, apparently, is POTS (postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome). My case isn’t the most severe, but I definitely have days where there’s just no battery in there.
The good news: I’m doing way better now. I intentionally dropped about 30+ pounds in the last few months, cleaned up my diet, started working out every day, and stopped relying on Uber Eats. I’ve got the studio running again, I’ve had the energy to crank out shorts, and I’m excited to get back to more commercials and more shoots outside the house.
