In this (was live) stream, I’m assembling yet another Printed Solid Next Gen Safety Enclosure for CR-10 style printers—yep, I think this one makes number 10 for me. I walk through the “big and awkward” reality of putting these together solo, why I always keep blue tape nearby (it’s basically my third hand), and the little planning details that save you pain later—like deciding where you want the power outlet cutout before you lock everything in. I also talk about why I’m such a fan of enclosures even when people cringe at the price. For me it’s a three-for-one: better print consistency because you control the environment, containment of VOCs/ultrafine particles (I filter all my printers—learned that lesson the hard way), and plain old safety. I add a carbon filter setup, discuss newer filtration options, and I show my approach to fire suppression—because people love to say you don’t need it, but I think your home insurance might disagree. Along the way there’s the usual live-stream chaos: missing Allen keys, cats “helping,” and me trying not to start a new episode of “Let’s Make Paul Cuss.”
