In this channel update, I’m making it crystal clear: Where Nerdy Is Cool! isn’t going anywhere. This is not an “I’m quitting” video—if anything, I’m sharpening the focus. 3D printing tutorials, printer reviews, upgrades, materials, and troubleshooting are staying front and center, because that’s the core of what I do here (and what most of you came for in the first place). One big change is that my VR flying, DCS World, and aviation videos are moving to a brand-new channel: The Nerdy Pilot. I’m an FAA licensed pilot and have been for 30+ years, and that content deserves its own home. Over here, I’m also upgrading production quality—about 45% of you watch on a TV, so I’ve moved from 1080p to 4K (yes, my shiny head is now in higher resolution… you’re welcome). I also talk about the reality of the algorithm for small channels: new printer reviews and new materials do great, but rebuild projects like my CR-10 S5 upgrades can get ignored—even though I love that “bring it back to life” vibe, kind of like Jay Leno’s Garage but for printers. Finally, expect more emphasis on USA-made filament and products—my Push Plastic factory tour really impressed me, and I’m planning more content around what’s being made here in the United States.
