In my side-by-side 4‑color CAT test, the Kobra X finished in 19h 45m while the A1 took 28h 21m… that’s 9 hours faster (about 43.5%). It also wasted less filament on purges/prime towers in that test (286g vs 346g), and the first-layer calibration came out perfect—no bed flatness drama, which is something I was watching closely. I also cover the stuff that matters day-to-day: the RFID spool scan (nice quality-of-life), the audible beep when filament is fully loaded, and the Anycubic app—which, honestly, is one of the best parts. The live camera feed is actually live (15–20 fps), not a slideshow. But I’m not going to pretend it’s all sunshine: the biggest con is the slicer. Anycubic’s Orca fork is behind, and the flushing settings are confusing enough that my black-to-yellow transitions started looking junky on newer versions. Add in a huge print head (harder to see first layer) and jam clearing that’s doable-but-not-fun, and you’ve got the real picture.
