In this video I’m walking you through my morning skincare routine with a special focus on mature skin—because I’m in my mid-50s and I’ve already gone through menopause. My routine is simple, effective, and very hydration-forward, since estrogen plays a role in keeping skin hydrated and that changes as we move through menopause season. I also share how I adjust things if you’re more sensitive, dry, or delicate, and I give options depending on what your skin can tolerate. I start with a very gentle “cleanse” (most mornings it’s just tepid water for 15–30 seconds), then I go in with a rich hydrating essence—my absolute favorite is the Mara Pearl Peptide Essence because it feels plush and luxurious and gives my skin that hydrated bounce. After that I usually use vitamin C in the morning for oxidative stress support and brightening (with notes on irritation and why I don’t necessarily use it 365 days a year). And on days I’m not feeling vitamin C, I’ll swap in a hydrating serum instead. I finish with a lightweight-but-emollient moisturizer and then SPF—because that’s the non-negotiable step for healthy, glowing mature skin.
