About This Video

In this video I’m sharing what’s actually been working for me as I’ve moved through menopause—because menopause does not mean you need to stop feeling strong or stop feeling good in your skin. I’m covering the three big areas I’ve changed: HRT, how I train, and how I eat (plus the one thing I’m really watching closely now: added sugar). My main symptoms were hot flushes (more like flushes than severe hot flashes), changes in body composition—hello abdominal weight—and sleep disruption. I also walk you through my honest experience with HRT. This is not medical advice, but for me a very low dose estradiol + progesterone has helped keep the hot flushes at bay and improved my sleep (I think the progesterone really helps me fall asleep). What it didn’t do for me was magically give me tons of energy or instant “zen.” On the fitness side, I stopped long cardio/jogging and shifted to daily walking (10k steps as a non-negotiable when I can), heavy strength training for muscle and bone health, and short sprint intervals. For food, I focus on protein (I aim for 80–100g/day), balanced carbs, and keeping added sugar very low—usually 0–10g/day—because that, combined with my workouts, is what I truly feel helped with the abdominal weight.
