About This Video

In this condensed livestream, I kept it brief and just knocked out a handful of common guitar questions that I see all the time—especially from beginners and intermediate players trying to get smoother. I also talked a little bit about livestream consistency, because I’m testing my setup right now and I do plan on getting a more regular schedule going soon. We covered how to choose a strumming pattern when you already know the chords (my main advice: think like a drummer and line your guitar rhythm up with the kick and snare). I also broke down a solid “first song” approach without picking one specific song—learn your open chords and start building progressions in the key of G (1-4-6-5: G, C, Em, D), then mix the order and practice basic strums. On top of that, I gave practical fixes for muted/buzzy chords (C-shaped finger curl, play each string one at a time, and make micro-adjustments), explained capo vs transposing (capo for utility, but don’t rely on it for every key), and went through the most common causes of fret buzz—technique and setup—plus when it’s time to see a guitar tech.
