I just got back from the 2026 Sydney Guitar Show and—yep—what a blast (again). In this video I do a quick, fairly unedited walkthrough so you can really feel what it was like on the floor: busy, chaotic, very noisy, hot at times, rainy at other times, and honestly a bit tricky to film when people are bumping into you or cutting across the camera. But that’s also kind of the point—great turnout, great energy, and it makes me seriously hope Sydney gets this show back more often. After the walkthrough, I recap the weekend properly: I hosted a guitar makers panel with Charles Cilia (Cilia Guitars), Perry Ormsby (Ormsby Guitars), Aaron Fenick (Fenick Guitars), and Doug Sparks (Orton & Gordon Smith). Then on Sunday I co-hosted Best in Show on the main stage with Tash Wolf and Josh Owen, where we each picked a few standout items. My picks were the PJD Origin Series guitar (awesome value), the wildly expensive but ridiculous Novo Serus, and the Poly Effects KANSO—which is pure “think outside the box” madness in the best way. Massive thanks to the organizers and everyone I ran into; I’ll be back at next year’s Melbourne show for sure.
