BRINGING THE PIGS TO MY NEW FARM! About This Video

Today was a big one — we finally brought our pigs to the new farm! I’m standing in front of our brand new pig pen (if you missed that build, go watch the last video), and once we realized it was actually functional, it was time to get the piggies home. We did a quick last-minute checklist: water trough, hoses, feed, and making sure we had a plan to load them safely. We used the horse trailer, made a Tractor Supply run for pig feed and a new trough, and then headed back to the farm to get them settled. When we got home, we used our new gate setup to make unloading easier (they were hard to load, and I’m pretty useless being pregnant when it comes to wrangling pigs). Cookie and Penny hopped down into their new space and immediately started inspecting everything… including rooting up my brand new sod. I tried to do something nice, paid way too much for it, and of course they started peeling it up — but honestly, they look happy, and that’s the whole point. We got the trough filled, set up a sprinkler to keep the sod alive, added a hose hanger at the wash rack, and finished the pen by wiring the gate so they can’t squeeze out while we’re not here. One more animal box checked off — and now I’m seriously thinking chickens are next (and yes, I’ve basically decided I’m moving my coop).
