What is NCC & Type Approval? How this DANGEROUS Camper Van would FAIL

Campervans are all built differently. The NCC has strict criteria for Health & Safety aspects and regulation , which must be met for a campervan to be approved. We will discuss that today, along with Type Approval. But what does that mean? We discuss the requirements to Pass the strict test for NCC and Type approval. As said in the video, the chances are in 99% of the cases they would be ok. But without the testing, they can't have that certainty. They want this certainty and therefore go through the approvals. There are many other good converters, other than those who are approved, who also produce high quality vans and follow the guidance. It doesn't necessarily mean its a poor van if some of the criteria isn't met (like the step height or evacuation hatch) but it would not pass NCC Approval unless the criteria is met. In relation to hobs, a cupboard above falling within the height restriction, should undergo a separate test for sign off.
