I’m still at the Caravan, Camping & Motorhome Show, and in this video I’m basically “stealing” the best ideas from the £100,000 vans (not physically stealing anything… just the clever design thinking). I walk through some seriously well-specced builds like Kaktus and Onyx to pick out the upgrades that actually matter in real vanlife—things like proper Victron electrical setups that can run induction hobs, big fridges, and all the tech, plus the little details like good LED lighting, filtration, and a well-made shower control. Some of the smartest space-saving bits were the ones that made me stop and think, “Right… that’s going on the list.” The pop-up shower in the Onyx is a great example—proper shower capability without a permanent cubicle stealing your floor space. I also show a hidden sink that slides out from under an induction hob, a toilet that disappears away, and a shower setup that means you’re not doing body-yoga trying not to stand on the loo. On top of the luxury ideas, I also talk about what I’m seeing as trends: more induction, more digital control panels like Savvy Van (now with an app), and water heating systems like Pundmann. And yes—there’s also a brand-new recyclable shower concept (Fluy Loop) that I’ll be digging into properly soon.
