In this video I’m sat inside a seriously smart Bespoke Leisure VW Crafter at the NEC Caravan, Camping and Motorhome Show, having a proper chat with Tom from The Camper Club and Neil from Nemo’s Camper Adventures. We talk about what’s stood out, which vans we’ve actually liked (Kaktus was a big one for me), and why you can’t just look at “adventure” stickers and wheels and assume two vans are the same. I keep banging on about it because it matters: look at the components, the electrical setup, batteries, heating and what you’re actually paying for. We also get into the stuff people really want to know—are the shows a rip-off, or can you get genuine deals? From trading experience, Sunday is often the day to grab the best bargains because brands don’t want to take stock home. We chat Victron vs Clayton style setups, portable power stations that can run a lot more than people think, and my own “battery anxiety” when I’m away. My massive takeaway though wasn’t even a van. It was the people—subscribers and conversations that remind me why I make these videos. No hype, just helping you understand what you’re buying, so you don’t get stitched up by false claims or shiny marketing.
