Well, good evening everybody—this is Side Track Sunday #5 for November, and it just happens to be November 30th, 2025… the last day of the month. In this one I kick things off fighting with tech (because of course), after OBS decided to update and suddenly my camera, mic, and peripherals didn’t want to play nice. I got it mostly straightened out and we rolled on with the show—shout-outs in the chat, a lot of laughs, and the usual STS crew energy. From there I get into what’s really on my mind: we’re officially in holiday mode now that Thanksgiving is behind us, and I wanted to hear what everybody’s plans are. I talk a bit about how this time of year can be rough for me, and why coming downstairs to run operating sessions has been genuinely therapeutic—just being able to veg, run trains, and get my head out of the noise. We also talk about the upcoming STS Holiday Show (December 21st) and some ideas for getting out to see layouts and displays, including an open house at the Severna Park Model Railroad Club in the old Baltimore & Annapolis station. And yes… we go down the rabbit hole on cameras, USB limits, cables across the floor, and all the “helpful” ideas the guys throw at me.
