Hey Track Gang—this week I’m back with an update on where I was, why there wasn’t an episode last week, and what’s coming next on the Boeville & Newtown. The wife and I took a cruise for her 60th birthday, and between spotty internet and the way I’ve been handling uploads (letting videos sit unlisted 24–48 hours), I wasn’t going to risk a Friday morning release while I was away. We had a great trip overall, but travel coming home got messy with a cancelled flight, so I’m saving the pictures and the full rundown for Sidetrack Sunday in a couple weeks. On the railroad side, I’m lining up the next stretch of projects: my roundhouse build is about to kick into gear as soon as the brass rod shows up for the door hinges. I’ve got all the printed parts ready, and I’ll be walking through the paint and assembly step-by-step over the next few episodes. I’m also working with John #2 on getting the warehouse windows sized right, plus I’ve got scenery and roadway work to finish in uptown/downtown Boeville—and yes, I admitted to a foam-core foundation mistake on Union Station that I now have to redo. And yep—mail call: a Walthers Code 83 curved turnout (20/24" radius) to replace the junk turnout under Boeville Station. It looks close, but it may mean reworking some hidden track.
