About This Video

Good evening, track gang—Side Track Sunday #4 for October 26th, 2025 went off the rails in the best possible way. I started out trying to do a normal post-weekend recap of GSMTS in Timonium and the Baltimore Streetcar Museum YouTube Meet & Greet, plus a few shout-outs (including wishing Allan over at the Mason Dixon Railroad a happy birthday). We had a ton of folks in the chat and, over the last 48 hours, we had a full house down in the basement—at one point 16 people not counting me. And, like always, we talked so much we forgot the group photo… until we were all already split up. Then the live show got “sidetracked for sure” when JD, Jack Jack, and Joe basically ambushed the basement mid-stream. From there it turned into a hangout session—exactly what this hobby is supposed to be: friends, laughs, and talking trains. I also showed a few of the goodies from the weekend: buck-a-piece gondola loads, a Beiel Street trolley Dave (DBT) dropped off (one he worked on during a live stream), a B&O 0-4-0 switcher, some B&O cars (including an observation), and a pair of IHC trolleys (powered unit plus dummy) for my interurban line. We wrapped it up talking streetcars and how I plan to run the interurban: the line disappears through the backdrop, there’ll be a car barn on the downtown Boeville end, and I want three cars rotating so they’re constantly swapping ends—controlled by that third knob on my dispatcher panel.
