Hey Tre gang—this one’s a special Boeville & Newtown holiday callout video for the #2025WinterHolidayChallenge. Joe Rader over at the Black Rock Central RR called me out to show what I’ve got for Christmas, so I give you a quick peek upstairs: the tree, the fireplace decorations, and that little porcelain church that lights up. I also mention I’ve got stuff outside too, but yeah… it’s too cold, and we’ve still got snow on the ground, so we head where the fun stuff is—the basement. Down on the layout, I put together a holiday-themed consist and try to get it rolling, and of course it never fails—everything works until you’ve got somebody watching. I show the Southern Crescent Limited (green and red—perfect for the season), a transition car because of the horn-hook vs. Kadee situation, and then the Christmas car plus cars from fellow model railroaders: Grandpa Rails, Joe Rader, Crooked Dave, and the STS cars. I also run a second train that’s battery-operated from 1997, and even with a busted spot of track and an unlevel floor, I call it a win.
