Hey Tri Gang—welcome back to Boeville & Newtown Episode 36 (Oct 23/24, 2025). This week I’m mostly in “clean up, put it back, and make it look presentable” mode after moving the backdrop and buildings around. I’ll show you the north end scenery progress: the stained-toothpick walkway between the school and the church, new grass/fine turf/clump foliage along the base of the backdrop, and a temporary light-blocking fix (yes… duct tape) until I make it permanent. I also talk through a couple of the little goofs that happen when you’re trying to hit a goal—like the backdrop not meeting the hill right, and why I’m leaning toward turning that gap into a retaining wall later. Down the line I cover the weedy, less-manicured look using coarse turf, a foam “hole” fix, and what’s next at the dam—finding Woodland Scenics water effects at the train show if I can. I also show the jersey wall across the bridge (including the fun of parts breaking and going for a swim in the paint), and the brick wall that’s a little “white”… which I’m calling calcium buildup and sticking to it. Finally, I give the full GSMTS YouTube meet & greet / open house update: schedule, layout tours (Black Rock Central and B&N), food timing, who’s coming, and the Baltimore Streetcar Museum plan—plus the GPS caveat so you don’t end up across the tracks.
