About This Video

Heat. Heat. Heat. In Part 4 of my Trellis Garden Quilt sew-along with Becca (yes, the actual pattern designer), we jump back in and start knocking out the finishing steps—specifically getting my blocks sewn into rows and moving on to the sashing. I forgot my paper pattern back at home (classic), but the good news is once you’ve made one Trellis Garden block, the rest of the assembly starts to feel really straightforward. Becca hangs the rows up behind us so I can keep the order straight, and we talk through what I’m doing as I build the pieces that go between the rows. Because it’s a livestream hangout vibe, we also detour into real-life sewing setup talk—like where to put your machine (I’m team “in front of a window” for your eyeballs), the 20-20-20 rule for eye strain, and the very real warning that sunlight can fade fabric. We also chat QuiltCon prep (my quilted jacket is about 85% done and the details are, of course, taking the longest), plus stickers, giveaways, and a reminder that Becca extended my Trellis Garden pattern discount. If you want to sew along, grab the pattern and come hang out—this one is all about getting the quilt top closer to done.
